Regional Groups

The (currently) seventeen regional groups that exist are the main pillars of the work of ARSP. Therefore they have a great importance for the development of the organization and are glad to have more help for their various projects.

The ARSP regional groups:

  • Set up events and school visits.
  • Introduce ARSP in church congregations, employment offices, and in other initiatives.
  • Inform and promote volunteer service , for example, at informational events.
  • Accompany the current volunteers of the international volunteer program in Germany.
  • Help out with the evaluation seminars.
  • Are a contact place for new people in the area.

Most regional groups are made up of former volunteers. They are in close contact with the regional department of ARSP in Berlin through their elected speaker.

“I see my time as a volunteer as an opportunity to contribute to the understanding between Muslims and Jews and between Germans and US-Americans. As an individual this is of course difficult. But perhaps I can simply be a role-model.”

Aness Yacoubi from Wolfsburg, ASF-volunteer in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.
