9.30 a.m. International conference
"Remembrance as reason and obstacle for the European Project"
Forums, discussions, workshops
Even before the war in the former Yugoslavia we experienced the potential for conflict in antagonistic memories. The debates about expulsions, the question about the meaning of the uniqueness of the Shoa in relation to the Stalinistic acts of violence or the competing memories of minorities in multi-cultural societies - all of these questions are in existence across Europe, just like the project spectrum of ARSP.
Accordingly we want to elaborate on the perspectives of European policies of remembrance, together with the slants taken by our different partner countries that can and must be productive for a Europe that is growing together.
