General

The ARSP office in Berlin is responsible for volunteers' application, preparation, and the evaluation of their experiences.

In addition, ARSP has a coordinator to help navigate the political and bureaucratic conditions for volunteer service in most countries where ARSP is active. The coordinator guarantees continuity of support to all partner organizations, and supports the volunteers who live and work in the guest country with them.

They organize the seminars and evaluations with volunteers and partner projects. They also conduct the application interviews, and support future volunteers during their preparation for their service.

“I see my time as a volunteer as an opportunity to contribute to the understanding between Muslims and Jews and between Germans and US-Americans. As an individual this is of course difficult. But perhaps I can simply be a role-model.”

Aness Yacoubi from Wolfsburg, ASF-volunteer in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.
