Belgium

12 ASF Volunteers work in social, educational and historical projects in Belgium. Although the country is small, there are three official languages spoken here: French, Dutch and German.

Belarus

Volunteers work in Minsk in institutions for people with disabilities, in the care of children with cancer and with older people. Experience, flexibility and strength is a prerequisite for a longer stay in Belarus.

Germany

ARSP's international programme currently features 20 volunteer positions in Germany. The volunteers come from various European and non-European countries including the USA, Norway, the Netherlands and Israel, as well as from Germany.

France

With commitment and creativity to work in France, 20 volunteers are currently working here with political education, in the anti-racism movement, with refugees, seniors, people with disabilities, homeless people and people with mental health needs.

Great Britain

12 volunteers from Germany and Poland are working together in England. They work in historical and political education, in district centers with socially disadvantaged people, people facing mental and physical challenges or with refugee and conflict work.

Israel

Today over 1500 ARSP volunteers have done their peace service in Israel, which is characterized by intensive meetings with survivors of the Shoah and confrontation with social and political problems of the country.

The Netherlands

For more than 50 years, ARSP has been working in the Netherlands. Each year, ARSP engages 18 volunteers in Amsterdam and other cities in the country.

Norway

With two construction projects in 1959, the work of ARSP in Norway began. Today 15 volunteers work in three regions: north, south and central in Trondheim and Oslo, where the Nowegian office of ARSP is located.

Poland

In Poland, 16 volunteers from Germany and Ukraine work in the trilateral programme. In most projects, it takes a lot of independence and reliability, and above all in social work a lot of heart and patience.

Russia

Russia is huge. 10-12 volunteers work in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Perm and Voronezh. Experimentation, flexibility and resilience is important for a longer stay in Russia.

Czech Republic

Czech Republic: A country oh so close, but oh so different! All nine ASF volunteers are in so-called "cluster projects", that means they assist in work with seniors, people with disabilities and socially disadvantaged children and young people.

USA

The US has a broad appeal. The myths of the US, however, are still here and hence a good portion of anti-Americanism. This is also one of the challenges for the approximately 25 US volunteers.

Ukraine

The memory of the Nazi era is still alive in Ukraine. Many Ukrainians were forced to work in Germany. ARSP volunteers work in support of former forced labourers and other victims of National Socialism in the Ukraine.
