After regular summer camps have taken place in the Czech Republic in recent years, the work will continue this year in a group over 40.
The Jewish Cemetery in Bilina is a small cemetery (consecrated in 1892). It is located right next to the Catholic Cemetery. Bilina is about 13 km south of Teplice.
After the long Corona break, we want to continue the plans from two years ago. The primary aim is to erect tombstones. The growth has already been removed. There may still be some roots to remove.
We have 2 light material-lifts for raising the stones and various tools for cleaning the stones and removing the roots.
It is possible that we will not completely fill the planned 6 working days with the work in Bilina. Therefore, in consultation with the Teplice Jewish Community, we will probably work in the large Jewish Cemetery in Teplice for the remaining time. Here it is exclusively about the erection of gravestones.
Traditionally, after 3 days of work, we plan to have a rest day, during which we will take advantage of the cultural opportunities of Teplice and its surroundings.
